grant full permissions

Hi all!

I have a big problem with package, MapInfo, may be someone had the same problem, ehrn launv\ching limited user it cannot connect to the server, i used process monitor, and didnot get any errors, some access denied, and gived permissions for registry key, and it still dont launching it, and i`m wondering, is it possible to some how give full permissions for the package cause it creating some file when launchig administrator and i gues that limited user does not have that permission. (And i also create SETACL, ut that doesnt work also)

I have worked on MapInfo Professional.., there was no problem like what you are facing.
Is it a setup capture app?

yes i made repackaging for it, and there was neded to create srver name, for which is trying to connect, but unfortunatly it does not allow limited usres to connect

That issue may be at the server end. Perhaps it checks domain groups and, if you're not a member of, say, domain admins, won't allow a connection.

I recall a colleague working on MapInfo Pro and as a locked down user, the app wouldn't launch.
The install creates a service (from memory) and the service requires the user to have enhanced security permissions.
He used secedit to implement the change...
Worth a try... ?

I've worked on mapinfo pro, and as far as I remember it was a vendor provided msi, so had to create a transform...
