Folder redirection within App-V sequence?
I have an application where previous versions stored user config data under %UserProfile%\Application Data. The vendor, in their infinite wisdom, released a new version that switches this location to being under %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data. This is a problem for us as we use VMware Linked Clones and data in this location will be lost between logins.
I could resolve this with a robocopy command in Pre-Launch and Post-Close scripts, but I was wondering if I could just use folder redirection within the sequence to use the location that we want. Has anyone done this? Is this possible?
