Can we have a feature shown in the feature tree that is grayed out rather than not show at all if the pre-requisites aren’t there for that feature, hence the user will know that the feature is part of the msi but the user will not have the option to select and install it.

divya, it sounds like you'll be presenting different dialog depending on whether the prerequisites exist. I am fairly certain that what you want can be done; however, usually I don't worry about dialogs, as most corporate installations are silent.
I think you want to investigate dialogs, though. look that up in the sdk. If you find anything interesting let us know.
