"Failed to update the registry" error
Hey friends..
I am working on an app, while launching it in the normal user mode it pops-up a msg box saying "FAILED TO UPDATE THE SYSTEM REGISTRY TRY USING REGEDIT".
I have given permission to :
INSTALLDIR
ALL THE REGISTRY
Anyone has any idea on this?

you have given permission to all the registry?
man, that is like cracking a nutshell with a 20 pound hammer!

locate which keys you need and give permission to those only. that will not fix the problem described here but it will prevent a big load of future problems.

You can use Procmon to find out that registry and then give the permission.
