EZ GPO Preventing Idle Timeout of XP Screen Saver
In order to facilitate better management of power configuration for our workstations I used the Power Management wizard to create a policy which defines the power settings. This policy automatically deploys a product called EZ GPO (version 2.2.3) as part of the Windows XP management policy. This is required for XP power management policy to function.
What happened following this is the failure of our XP machines to idle time activate the secure screen saver in XP. Our Group Policy has the timeout set at 900 seconds. I'm not sure if a shorter timeout would be similiarly effected.
The fix for this is to install EZ GPO 2.2.4 available from TerraNovum. I don't have the URL at hand.

2.2.3 is the latest publicly available version that I see.
