While troubleshooting a SUS issue, I came across two excellent links:

1. http://www.susserver.com - FAQ's, troubleshooting, links to SUS resources, forums, tools, and more

2. http://www.pdxconsulting.com/sus - you can use this free resource to upload your SUS logs for parsing. It returns a thoroughly organized and understandable explanation of what is happening in your SUS environment.

I would prefer to use the Microsoft SUS as it is designed to operate with Active Directory and I can force my clients via group policy to adhear to my update schedule. The SUSS that kopbean is promoting is command line (from what I gather) and it is not free according to the website.
