I've captured an application and created MSI which installs fine on 64 bit Machines. When I try to install it in 32-bit it shows "This installation package is not supported by this processor type" with error code 1633.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

This error is caused by installing 64-bit version software onto a 32 bit processor/Operating System.

YOu have to create a diferent installation or you can modify the package with Orca, go to View -> Summary Information..., change the Platform field to Intel from dropdown button.

You will have 2 diferent package, one for x64 and one for x86.

  • Or if you want to create a 32 bits package, just go to Summary Information and set the Platform to Intel.

You would have to capture it on a 32 bit machine if you want to push it to other 32 bit machines.
