Is this a snapshot of an application you've captured yourself?

I would go with Brent... If you have captured the app yourself try repackaging the app with SmartMonitor in conjunction with Snapshot. I use this method as this is the most reliable method.

Bhupesh, what version are you using?

I was always told NOT to use SmartMonitor as it gathers too much junk. But maybe it has improved in later versions

In my captures these days (which happily are becoming fewer [:D] ) Just using the straight snapshot works pretty well (still some cleanup but not too much - usually)

What I'd really like to start playing around with is the virtual machine , but need to get my own lab for that [8|]

Hi Aogi:

I completely agree with you that Snapshot does capture some junk but you can always build an exclusion list, in my view it does capture most ofthe taskbar apps/memory processes running especially AV's/Firewalls etc. I pick the common junk and build an exclusion list and then use both of these methods to repackage because I did studied this that there are certain entries which are not capture by Smartmonitor and Snapshot. So using both of them gives you best of both the World! However I haven't practically tested this I think I will do this one day.
