Editing cab File
Hi ,
I want to remove some files from a installshield cab file. I have installshiled 2011 installed on my system.
Can any one please suggest how can I edit the cab file without having to extract it?

I presume, since you have a CAB, you have an MSI. If you have the original project so why not simply remove the file from that project then re-compile? That process will re-write the CAB and MSI.
If the MSI is a vendor-supplied package, then delete the file from a transform which you will subsequently apply when deploying.

Hi,
No the vendor has provided me with a setup.exe file and a set of cab files with it, there is no msi.

Are you sure the EXE doesn't extract an MSI? I guess it *could* be entirely InstallScript-driven, in which case why not capture it? You can then remove the offending file during the capture process.
