What happens is I will deploy Office 2013 x64 using the Kace agent. It will then prompt the user that Kace is ready to download and instlal Office 2013 through the messaging system from Kace. After the installation you then open up Outlook for the first time and do an automatic profile configuration since the machine is tied to a domain. The second it finishes the machine does a blue screen. From what I know this only happens once. After that it doesn't occur again from what I have been observing so far from other installs on user machines. I am not sure if I should spend to much time on it but it does bother me and worry me a bit. Any help would be appreciated!

If you try to install Office 2013 manually do you receive a BSOD?  Are you using a transform file created from the customization tool?

  • I am using a custom version. OCT I believe that is packaged along with the product key to automatically update. If I do a manual install it doesn't BSOD.
  • Are you doing an upgrade or fresh install of 2013? If you're upgrading, you may want to scrub 2010 first. Is the BSOD model specific? Any details in event viewer?
  • I haven't had it happen lately, however I haven't done to many images either recently. Normally I will do a full uninstall of 2010 but either way it doesn't really matter. I haven't checked the event viewer much. Next time it happens I will post again with more detailed information. Sorry for the delay in response. Been busy :/
