Disable one feature
As per the client requirement, we need to disable one FEATURE. Following steps are tried:
1) Went to Installation Expert. Right Click on the particular feature and selected "Never install this feature". That means made the InstallLevel of the Feature to 0.
2) Kept the InstallLevel of the feature more than that of the InstallLevel of the package.
The above two steps were tried but it did not work.
Kindly suggest any other method.

There is no other method. Take a verbose log of the install. My bet is that a Custom Action is overriding your setting(s).

check the condition table. this is used to change the value of the FeatureLevel during installation based on specified conditions.
