Please post some good tools for capturing, taking snapshot of the machine. I use picture taker but sometimes it becomes very slow.

The two leading products are Wise Package Studio and InstallShield Admin Studio - these are both excellent but expensive.

As far as free apps go:

Advanced Installer: http://www.advancedinstaller.com/

I've only used Wininstall LE out of the last 3 - it OK, pretty much what you'd expect for free. Ugh those component names though... don't make easy reading [;)]

Rob, I think the OP was after a lightweight snapshot tool.

I didn't respond because I'm fed up with what seems to be his total inability to - amongst many others - click links called 'Search'. How many posts here, would you guess, include the word 'snapshot'?

I was using Picture Taker too but since vista, its slow as hell like you said. Upgrade to Prism Deploy.
