Deploying MSIs created by CA Software Packager
I've recently discovered that when creating a package with CA's packager, then converting from SXP to MSI format, the program does not appear in Add or Remove Programs. We're all running Windows XP SP2. I've tweaked one of these converted (after registering with Software Delivery) to remove the ARPNOMODIFY property, but still it does not appear. I've also manually changed those keys in the registry and removed them to no success.
Is there any way to make these MSIs show up in add or remove programs (and allow the removal)? I found a "tech tip" on CA's website, but it's very poorly written and I'm unable to find anything else online (so far) on this matter.
It might help to say that other MSIs pushed through Software Delivery do in fact appear in the list and the Remove & Repair functions are both available, this only occurs with MSIs created with their Packager.

Hi Angelia:
As u said u hav converted SFX to MSI using the CA's Software Delivery. As far as I know if u create a MSI package using software delivery it can only b deployed using the same. And the machine from which the MSI was deployed has a catalog maintaining the list of the software deployed from that machine. So u wil not find an entry in the add or remove program.
