Hello,

I am an IT Professional who has recently been given the responsibility of migrating our software deployments from our Ghost Console to the KBOX appliance. I am new to the process and have only a small amount of experience with KACE deployments. The first piece of software I would like to deploy is MS Office 2003 Standard.

I am having trouble getting the deployment to work via KACE. I configured my install files to use an 'install.bat' file to begin the installation. I have uploaded and associated my zip file with the software in KACE. When my client machine connects to Kace it will download the zip, and unpack it, but the install does not run.

If I navigate to the folder on the client machine when KACE has downloaded the files, I can manually click the 'install.bat' file and the install will start and complete successfully. For some reason, KACE will download and unpack the files, but fails before (or while) calling 'install.bat'.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Please let me know if there is anything I forgot to include, I am new to this so I apologize if I got anything wrong...

Any help would be appreciated!

Here is the contents of my client debug.log:

You may want to post this in the K1000 forum, as you would do this process differently on the K2000.

A guess would be that you zipped the folder insted of only the files then the path would be:
"C:\Program Files\KACE\KBOX\downloads\478\%folder%\install.bat"
insted of:
"C:\Program Files\KACE\KBOX\downloads\478\install.bat"

if that is the case, then only zip the files inside the folder and upload it again =)
