Deploying Connection manager

I have been supplied with An EXE and INF file to deploy with SMS(2003)They were both created using Connection Manager Admin Kit
I have installed locally on a laptop without problem Unfortunatly using SMS with the following VPN.exe /q:a /c:"CMSTP.EXE VPN.INF /s" it does not install. By adding the /AU i can get it to install but it errors with corrupt profile.
Has anyone had any experience with this problem or similar
