Deploying cctk with psexec

Hello all,

I am attempting to push cctk updates with psexec.  My script runs successfully, however only SOME of the dell configuration switches are actually applied to machine while others are ignored.  For example, I can successfully change the bios password and boot order, however I cannot disable/enable any sata drives.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

It's possible the switches you're attempting to use aren't available for the model. If I remember correctly, you can use the CCTK gui to read your current PC's BIOS configuration and based on that you should be able to get an idea of what your model supports. I ran into an issue where the Vostros we purchased we supported at all and the Optiplex 990s we have here and there only supported a couple of BIOS settings.

  • Thanks for the post! I am using the cctk and editing my current machines bios config (a T3500) and then I am pushing that edited config to another T3500, this is where the confusion comes in. - edrower 12 years ago
  • Try looking at the log file.
The -l= or --logfile= option records
information output on the command line to the specified log file
It should tell you why it didn't apply the switches - andibogard 12 years ago
