Deploying Agents

Is it best to deploy the agents through the GPO settings? I'm having issues doing it through the IP address. Anyone know how to go about this?

Where I work we deploy via GPO. It works well. Though every now and then the agent get's corrupted and we have to uninstall it on the user's machine and let it come down again.

Here's a guide on deploying via GPO: http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/article/Installing-the-KACE-K1000-Agent-Through-Windows-Group-Policy?action=artikel&cat=2&id=848&artlang=en

You can deploy the agent by GPO, just rename the installer to include the ip address of the appliance.

For example if your appliance has the ip address: 192.168.130.4 then rename your installer to include the ip address. example: ampagent-5.3.53177-x86_192.168.130.4.msi
