deploy flash player 9

hi, currently im deploying flash player 9 via Active Directory using Software Deployment and browsing to .msi file and applying to computer container.

I have seen here in forum that people are using commands to deploy applications aswell, i would like to know how does this technique work.
Saw in this link http://itninja.com/link/adobe---player-licensing that people are using this command msiexec /i \\network drive\flashplayer9.msi /qb .

is it like this?
create a dos batch file with msiexec /i \\network drive\flashplayer9.msi /qb, and apply it as logon script via active directory to computer container.

will be grateful if someone please let me know.

Why would you want to do that? You will just be loading up your logon script with unnecessary packages. Stick with publishing/assigning the MSI and transforms to GPOs.

BTW, your post would probably have been better placed in the 'Distribution' forum or, really stretching the envelope, the 'Group Policy' forum :)

Quite frankly, if you have to ask such a question about Group Policy, then you need to seek advice from someone more experienced in your organisation before you break something. Or the very least, read up on Group policy.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
