customising adminstudio 8 installation
hi,
i need to customise the installation of Admin Studio 8 so it get installed silently and configured for our company.
where can i get information on this to save time capturing all the settings?
what settings do i need to add to my mst to do the following:-
i seem to be having trouble configuring the Editor> Tools> options> validation area. when i point to a customised cub file it does not save this setting. any ideas?
what settings do i need to add to my mst to turn off the update manager?

so my only option is to rename my customised cub file to darice.cub and overwrite the one in C:\Program Files\Macrovision\AdminStudio\8.0\ConflictSolver\Support ?
Is that correct? Will this solve my problem?
i was hoping to place it on a shared network location, not locally. if i install my Admin Studio shared location on a server can i ensure all users are pointing to this cub file? at the mo i cant seem to do it even when i copy darice.cub to my shared location!!!
all help appreciated!

There is a reg key that contains 2 values, one for the MSI cub and one for the MSM cub, you can check there to see where you are getting your cubs...
EDIT:
You could rename darice.cub but I would back up original and add your custom ICE's.
Path to Cubs HKLM\SOFTWARE\InstallShield\AdminStudio\ConflictSolver\Validation
If you remove value data but leave the values "ISUSPM Startup" & "ISUSScheduler" under HKLM\..\Run the update manager isnt launched
(Program Updates repopulates "ISUSPM Startup" when it is manually run)
