Custom Actions within WPS5.5 - Oracle Discoverer 4.1.48
Dear anyone,
I have created a CA that runs after the Install Finalise section of my MSI Script (WPS 5.5) for Oracle Discoverer 4.1.48.
This runs an EXE file compiled via Wise Script Editor that resets users ACL permissions on the local registry, using subinacl and secedit commands.
My command is
If Not Installed
Execute Program from Installation
End
The exe is copied as part of the install to c:\windows\packages.
The script runs and I can see a number of DOS prompts open, however when I come to open the Application I still get my unable to write to registry errors.
However if I run the EXE manually it completes the permission without a problems.
My current work around is to have to remote install jobs, one for the MSI and the other for the post install exe.
If anyone has any brains waves please let me know.
Thanks
Jim
