Custom Action exit code
I have a question in regard to VBS Custom Actions in an MSI. I have many VBS Custom Actions in an MSI and I would like to abort the MSI if the Custom Action exit code is not 0 (successful). I also would like the installation to fail with that same exit code if the exit code of the VBS is not 0. Is that possible?

Why? What do they do that can't be done natively within the MSI?

Yes that is very much possible........when sequencing your custom actions follow the below show image
During synchronous execution of a custom action, the installer waits for the thread of the custom action to complete before continuing the main installation and if the custom action failed the installation would roll back. Hope I answered your question
