Crystal Reports V10
HI,
I am packaging Crystal Reports V10 and all seemed to be fine. I created a response transform which added the PIDKEY etc and took care of all the dialogs and also added a new client shortcut folder. When I try to run the application as a silent install the issues arise. The application seems to install but does not install all of the components of the application or the shortcuts. If I just install the app(command line) without using silent switches(have tried qb/qb-/qb+/qr/qn) the install goes without a hitch and installs fully and correctly. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance...

Hmmm, have you created a verbose log of the silent install? Can you see which components are missing against a working install? Do they have any conditions set on them?
Crystal Reports is a nightmare at the best of times, if you get the package finished without reconsidering your career at least once then you're doing well [;)]
Cheers,
Rob.

Hi there,
How did you get around the required reboot? I ran the extracted MSI with MST but when it complete the install, I cancelled the reboot. I noticed that there were no icons in the Start Programs, so I rebooted and it ran msiexec again to complete the install. Is there a way to do the whole install in one hit, without rebooting?
Thanks,
Sammy.
