CryptoKit 4.0: Unable to install msi
Hi,
This is in regards to the application CryptoKit 4.0
I was trying to install this msi but it is asking for the setup.exe
I found the property STANDARD_USE_SETUPEXE = This installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe.
1. I tried changing value, deleting value as well for this property but its not working.
2. I also tried adding propertyISSETUPDRIVEN=1
Can anyone help me on this issue ?

Hi,
Did you checked with property VSEXTUI=1 ? Just give a try and alternatively try checking any Launch Conditions if so associated & also check the Custom Actions.

I would suggest to read the below vendor doc, if you haven't already.

It clearly mentions that MSI shouldn't be used for deployment, instead setup.iss is to be created for silent install.

In all probability, that advice arises because the EXE is doing stuff after the MSI completes. You can always try the usual gap capture (having renamed the app's 'Uninstall' registry entry first, of course), to see what that activity is and whether it can be included in a transform.
