Creating a .MSI with SPSS 12.0
Hello All,
I am trying to create a .msi file for SPSS version 12.0. My company's old server for SPSS is expiring soon and we'd like to get all of the users to point to our new server. The new server will require a new Environment variable. I have to create a .msi file to do a silent install via GPO and also have it update the old Environment Variable to the new environment variable. I am clueless as to where I should begin. I am using Advanced Installer Please help!!!

Start by having a look at http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=281
"The new server will require a new Environment variable"
Check the Extension table and see if the "server" env variable is already present.
Create a transform for the vendor MSI and add your changes to the MST.

Hello, thanks for such quick response! This is awesome! Create a transform for the vendor MSI and add your changes to the MST? I don't understand. Also, I see 3 .msi files on the cd. When I run it it says I need a iiscript.msi. Am I to transform that .msi with the spss.msi? I do have the iiscript.msi on the disc.
