I am looking for a silent uninstallsString of Corel Graphics Suite X4. There are about ten uninstall registry entries of the different corel features, but none of them seems to be the "master". Has anyone yet found it?

How many entries are there in Add/Remove Programs? If there's only one, find the 'DisplayName' registry value that matches the one which ARP displays. That key will most likely contain the string you need. If there are more than one, each will need to be uninstalled separately.

The uninstallstring that belongs to the ARP entry refers to a setupARP.exe - but i found no way to run this exe silent. I tried different commandline switches...(/r /x..)

Did you mean 'SetupPro.EXE'? I seem to recall that this is another simple setup stub, so try passing the usual MSIExec arguments using the stub's /V switch, i.e. SetupPro /V"/QN"

OK, now it works.
Setup.exe /V /QN /X
The SetupARP.exe doesn't work with the switches.
