Configuring and Using AnyConnect Client Operating Modes and User Profiles

I am looking for some assistance with the AnyConnect Profile XML setup per the following documentation provided by Cisco.  Searching the Deployment Tips I could not find any previous tips (which surprised me).

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect20/administrative/guide/admin7.html

Has anyone worked with this?  I noticed the XML file names they reference keep changing (preferences.xml, profiles.xml,  AnyConnectProfile.xml, . I also see in the referenced ProgramData folder that each XML file has a XSD file with the same name.  My biggest question(s) since I just hosed one machines start-up.  Is it looking for a certain file name?  I tried using a simple name like preferences.xml but this had no effect.

Answer Summary:
The XML file can be named anything. The XML file does not need an accompanied XSD file. The XML file must be placed in the ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\Profile folder. You can use your existing XML used in the web profile if you want pre-deployed client installs to replicate the web base installs. You will need to copy the XML to the above listed ProgramData folder.

I answered my own question.

The XML file can be named anything.
The XML file does not need an accompanied XSD file.
The XML file must be placed in the ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\Profile folder.

Do not use the sample.xml files provided in the documentation you do not want line breaks.

You can use your existing XML used in the web profile if you want pre-deployed client installs to replicate the web base installs.  You will need to copy the XML to the above listed ProgramData folder.
