Checking for exsting app before installing msi

I need to deploy a version of ultra vnc msi but need to first uninstall tightvnc.
How can i check for this?

You can check for existing apps by using APPSEARCH.
Have a look at this video -

if the other application is an msi you can use the upgrade table (this is what it was designed for).

if not the appsearch method mentioned in the previous post is a free easy workable solution. not sure where you got the cost from ?

that's what i was referring too.
i noticed the demo was for wps and the features they demonstrate are for the paid version.

Shouldn't be that hard doing with a free MSI editor either.

you could use the wise demo to work out what you need to change (ie in the appsearch related tables)

then edit the original with orca.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
