Changing Group Ploicy with script

I've been researching this for a few days and haven't found much out there. Is there a way to change the default group policy when one person in particular logs on?

Are you referring to local security policy? Group policies are all controlled via Active Directory, and it is simple to add a specific user to a group policy at the domain level or you could add them to their own OU and apply the GPO to the OU.

If you are referring to Group Policies, then the answer to your question is: no, there is no way to control group policy by way of a script - unless that script is modifying a user's group membership and the GPO applies to said group.

- Try the 'Group Policy' forum?
- I'm no GP expert (my contact is purely concerned with deployment) but couldn't you block inheritance of the policy for that user? He/she may have to go in a separate OU.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
