Change Screen Resolution

Hello everyone,

Any one have a vbscript to change the sceen resolution on Workstaion windows xp sp3 to 1024x768 ?

I need to apply this change to 150 desktop.

I tried to change it in the registry no luck because I have different Video driver on workstations and multiple monitors.

Your help is much appreicated.

There maybe a little utility that you could use which might be easier - I think the registry ones might need a reboot to take effect.

Have a search for Qres or SetRes and see if that fits your purpose.

I've tried two utility and automated ResSwich tool but it only change it when are logged in once you reboot the workstation it goes back.

I'm looking for permenant change. I can use Group Policy but this is not an option. We want the user to be able to change their resolution.

i'd be surprised if wmi didn't have something. download scriptomatic and look through the classes see what you find.
