Cannot run K2000 on VMPlayer

Hi there! I need some help. I installed the K2000 in VMPlayer on Win 7 64bit OS. VMPlayer says all is working, made the appropriate DNS entires, but cannot ping the host. Cannot go to browser. I could use some serious help please. I suspect the issue may be in the virtual machine network settings. I am using the defaults.

Can anyone help???

don't do anything with the adapters in the host. If you are set to bridged, you should be working. What is the type of nic? Personally, I would use vmware server (free), not player.

Well, I am bridged. Now what I don't understand is that I see two virtual adapters. Both are grabbing a 192.168.x.x address, yet I am on a 10.x network. something seems amiss to me

Ok let's see. Hundreds upon hundreds of users on here obviously using the K2000, yet NO ONE can help me get mine started? Really?
