I was wondering if there is a way to create an asset type by importing it.  Or can that only be done on the k1000 interface?

Thanks

Unfortunately Asset Types can not be imported in v6.0 or below. I'm out of votes for kace.uservoice.com, but I encourage you to vote for this feature at http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/3455983-import-and-export-types-of-assets

When you use the asset import feature it should create the asset type during the import if it is not already created.

  • I have tried that and in version 6, it requires me to pick an asset type that already exists.
