Can I see what patches will be deployed to a label before it happens?

I have a test group (IT Test) and a new patch label (MS Office 201x). We already have a Detect all job running. Is there a way I can do a comparison to see the compliance of IT Test before the Deploy job runs? I'm interested in compliance ONLY with the patch label MS Office 201x not the entire catalog.

For example, I would like to see the numbers in the orange box reflect only members of the IT Test label, or something to that effect.

Yes.

If you have configured your detect job to detect items including Office 2010, then after a machine runs this detect job, it should show which active patches haven't been installed yet. Deploying only schedules these non-installed patches to actually install.

  • Where does it show which active patches haven't been installed yet? I edited OP to clarify a bit. - vmann 9 years ago
    • There are several default reports dealing with Patching. You can edit to your needs.

For a group of patches, what machines have it
      Missing Patches by Label (TestGroupDeploy)
For each Machine, what patches are NOT installed - jfields 9 years ago
