Here is the command line for silent install.

jre>.exe [/L<language ID>] /s /v/qn" [ADDLOCAL=jrecore[,extra][,other_US] | ALL] [IEXPLORER=1] [NETSCAPE6=1] [MOZILLA=1] [INSTALLDIR=<drive>:\<install_path>] [REBOOT=Suppress] [JAVAUPDATE=0] [WEBSTARTICON=0]"

Here is the explanation . http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/guide/plugin/developer_guide/silent.html#running

You would do well to read up on JRE deployment, particularly on how to disable automatic updates. There's plenty in the archives as well as in the 'Package KB'. Much of the information is generic to all JREs so avoid focusing on a particular update.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
