I'm trying to produce a silent install script for the Belgium EID software (latest runtime) The previous one, was very easy. But this one is quite tricky.
The package itself is made with Macrovision Installshield version 11.x. It contains 2 parts, the install of the InstallShield script engine, the second part is the install of the middleware. The second part contains a MSI with language selection and a MST-file, as far as I can track it.

Does somebody has any suggestions ?
thx a lot.

Hi! Have you found a solution to package the Belgium eID Middleware?

Given it is an InstallShield installer, I used to record a reference installation to create a setup.iss file which I then used to install silently.

Here is the command-line I used to record the installation:
setup-beid-runtime-2.6.exe /r /f1"C:\TEMP\setup.iss"

Here is the command-line to install silently:
setup-beid-runtime-2.6.exe /s /f1".\setup.iss" /f2"%TEMP%\setup-beid-runtime-2.6.log"

EDIT: This works for both 2.5.9 and 2.6 versions. Just make sure you DO NOT select a custom installation type during recording of the setup.iss file!

In my case, I do not want the privacy service. I selected a custom installation and unchecked that module: THIS DOES NOT WORK! Instead, you need to select a standard installation and then answer "no" when asked if you want to activate the privacy service...

This may seem trivial, but it took me a while to understand why it did not work! I hope this saves you the frustration I had to go through...
