avoid system reboot due to previous installation while installing a new application

Hi

in some situations when I am installing a new package, the machine is showing "System had to restart due to a previous installation. please restart to continue with current installation"

How to overcome this issue.. As I have to install some 50 packages at a bunch, and at last I will reboot the machine. Is this scenario possible.

Regard
Rajendra

Just a thought but you should try this on a test PC first, back up the registry, Check for any entries in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations...... delete it just for test purposes and rerun the installer...see if it helps...

Sweet holy Mother of God...what nonsense!

@OP, look up the REBOOT property on MSDN.
