Automatically updating K1000 Managed Installations

Hello,

I have successfully setup managed installations for various applications on my k1000. The installations are installing fine across my network.

I'd like to have these managed installations update themselves and keep in step with the next releases of flash, acrobat etc.....

Is this possible or do I have to create a new managed installation each time an update come out?

Thanks,

You can include software installers in patching. We do this only for Flash and Reader. Since our patches join the Kbox as inactive there is still some control over what is there. The way our schedules are set once we set it to active it pushes out.

  • ok, I see. THe patches are available via the lumension servers? Is it just adobe patches on there?

    I'll enable app patches and see what comes in..... Thanks. - babaton 10 years ago
  • We're using wsus for windows updates, is it possible to only download application updates and not the windows security ones? - babaton 10 years ago
    • Yes depending on how you setup your patch labels.

      OS = Windows
      AND TITLE contains ADOBE READER
      AND IMPACT = SOFTWARE INSTALLER
      AND SUPERSEDED = NO - dugullett 10 years ago
