Assigning Assets to Users
Is there a method to automatically assign a computer asset to the last logged on user?
Do I really have to assign each PC to a user manually?

You need to write a ticket rule to run on a schedule that will create the relationship between the asset and the user. If you are unfamiliar with MySQL and the database schema for KBOX, you'll need to spend some time learning about them. Otherwise, you can try finding someone to write the code for you. There may be something close to what you're looking for here in the forums.

If you're looking to do bulk assignment this could be accomplished with a report exported to CSV, then imported to assets. Most of us need to do a bulk assignment, then manually assign them as new PC's come online or get reassigned to other staff. The problem with an automated method is that it defeats the purpose of having it set in assets; Inventory already tracks the last user, Assets is meant to track more static data like the Issued-to user.
