assembly + winSxS
Winsxs Folder problem
Hi there, I keep having problems installing files in the 'C:\windows\winSxS' foler when repackaging an application.
Wise for example places the folder that needs to be installed in the winSxS folder in the root of the Windows folder.
I know that these files require a certificate, but when i repackage an application, that certificate is already installed.
How do you guys solve this problem...

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution ?
Moreover, do you know what to do with the files captured under the "%windir%\WinSxS\Manfifests\" and "%windir%\WinSxS\Policies\" directory ? Can we also just copy these files ? - Glamdrick 10 years ago
