Arcobat Reader 8, Silent Install

I've create an MST using the Customization Wizard to perform a silent install. Features that I've selected in the Wizard include:

Personalization Options=>Install Path = (default or c:\program files) tried both.

Installation Options=>Run Installation = Unattended (w/no user interaction, only a progress bar

Shortcuts=>Remove the Desktop shortcut

EULA and Online features=>Checkmark on "Suppress Display of EULA"
=>Checkmark on "Disable all Updates"
=>Checkmark on "In Adode Reader, disable help>..."
=>Checkmark on "Disable Help>Digital Editions"

Toolbars and Document Status=>Checkmark on "Disable Start Meeting"
=>Checkmark on "Do Not Show Beyond..."
=>Checkmark on "Disable Adobe Online Services"

When I launch my MSI & MST the installation still prompts me for Installation Directory, after clicking next, the app installs without intervention, until the end, I am presented with aa screen indicating the install is complete, I can then select "Finished", also on the this screen is the checkbox for automatically launching Reader.

I don't want to see these to screens, has anyone else seen this? Does anyone no what is wrong?

Another thing, when I tested the actual app it would not open pdf's in a browser. Clicking on a pdf in a browser I get a dialogue stating "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again". Click on "OK" then the pdf opens in Reader.

Please help, thanks

adricapp,

Daft question, but you are running your command line with a /qn to ensure total silence of the installation?

If you log the installation too /l*v c:\mylog.log you'll be able to see where it falls down - if it does.

Also check out the other posts around Reader 8, the "Disable all updates" option doesn't disable all updates, just removes the check for updates menu item from the help menu.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Dunnpy
