APPV Package for a ClickOnce Setup

Hey Folks,

I am trying to virtualise a ClickOnce application by running a setup provided by the vendor. Now when the launch the application it shuts down without launching. The appv client is working fine and also the hosting server as all the other applications are working fine.

The shortcut points to a Application Manifest file.

Please Help

Thanks
AB

Hello,

Did you capture all the files that the application lays down onto the operating system?

So you means the application is not getting launched.
Also, try to launch 3 4 times so that application has static behavior in capturing phase.

Did you checked Event Viewer? any error or warning ..

One more thing try launching the "process mon" to see more details

are you sure you want to go this route with a click-once package? you're basically making a static package for a mechanism that is first and foremost meant for flexible updates of the application from a central server. As soon as the click-once updates an exe that's in the App-V I think you'll run into trouble.

just my 2c ofc.

Thanks Folks,

I deployed the application that via SCCM without virtualising it.

PJGEUTJENS, you were right.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
