K1000: Approval mandatory based on the category

I am trying to create a rule that when a specific category is selected the approval field becomes mandatory

  • I don't know if you can do that as that in the configuration is on or off across the board. Thinking out loud you might be able to not accept a "NULL" value in the approver field when that category is created.

    You should be able to use the built in wizard to create that rule though.

    Category = xyz
    AND Approval is not NULL

  • The problem I've found with these dynamic tickets, though, is there is no SQL trigger within the ticket layout itself. I've been led to believe that you need to get the Jquery Plugin and adjust the page itself in order to get these type of 'triggers'
