I have notied that in the new version of the KBOX that there is a post install task called Apply Computer Name.
Does anyone know how this works? and would i still join the computer to the domain as part of sysprep?

Isn't this their new task to capture computer name and reapply it to the newly imaged PC?

Yes, this is a new feature in the 3.x software that captures the computer name as a pre-deployment task and reapplies it using a sysprep.inf file as a post-deployment-pre-boot task. It also supports the Vista/Win7 methods. I haven't used it yet, as our home-grown scripts that do this are working just fine, but it's pretty well documented in the manual and KB.
