App-V 4.5 Unresolved Common Sequencer Issues

Hi all,

I just want to know if you are having the same issues with the Sequencer (4.5 Cummulative Update 1 Hotfix Pack 4):
  • Deleted Files on the VFS keep reappering after the file has been saved. Sometimes multiple deletes and saves will finally remove the file.
  • Virtualized Flag options on folders or registry keys sometimes are also not set accordingly after the package has been saved.
  • Virtual Services won't get deleted unless you press Rightmouse and delete. Pressing ENTF removes them, but a soon as tabs are switched they appear again..

1) This sounds like normal sequencer behavior, delete the file(s) from the VFS tab and the Q:\ drive to delete a file.

2) Don't run anything after changing the folder settings (just save) and the settings should stick for the virtual file system. The virtual registry overrides should be stable but I havent looked to closely at that behavior recently.

3) Sounds like something I haven't seen before.

You might be blown away by answers one and two but the sequencer is a bit quirky.

Hi Kevin,

I've seen number 3) before. Actually I reported a bug about this particular issue since it still exists in current beta.
I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
