Anyone Package Lavasoft Ad-Aware 1.06 yet?

I am running into some issues and was wondering if anyone has seen this

The command line I am using for the msi is
/i %PATH%\aawsepro.msi /qb- ALLUSERS=1

What is happening is that after the install on first launch Lavasoft is performing some type of customization. This works fine if the user has Admin rights. But we don't give everyone admin rights.

I have tried launching the app at the end of the SMS Installer Script but no luck.[:(]

when your package performs the end user config, have you monitored this process to see what registry keys it modifies and included these in your packaged msi?
give that a run with something like installwatch or regmon and see how you go

I agree with ictu packager that you really need to run a regmon and filemon to see what exactly is going on during this customization process.

You can download those tools at Sysinternals

I believe Ad-Aware is a Wise EXE and not a MSI so I am thinking you repackaged the install. If you repackaged then you should try it again, but this time lauch the application before running your after snap shot. I belive on first lauch it creates some custom files and folders depending on if you chose to install for all users on just one user.

This should allow you to add those files and folders when installing the MSI for the first time.
