For the last year, I have been running a scheduled task that pulls the K1000 backup files to our backup server via FTP (per this KB: http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/solutiondetail?sol=SOL111736). It was working fine up until two weeks ago, when the task would claim to execute successfully, but the files were never pulled. This morning I ran the script from a command prompt, and the following line appears after the approved user gains access to the KBox:

ftp>mget kbox_*

I won't open a connection to <IP address A> (only to <IP address B>)

Now the IP address for the backup server is now "IP address A", and used to be "IP address B". However, I don't recall having to set any specific IP addresses in the kbox before, and per our network admin, the network segment sin play here have trusts among them so that shouldn't be an issue. 

Has anyone encountered this message before? Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

  • almost sounds like something with the DNS the kbox reads changed.
