MDOP Certification is available in Microsoft as in below link.

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-656&locale=en-us

But this is not specific for App-V 5.0, it includes so many other concepts and App-V is part of them.

Is there any certification specific to App-V 5.0

I've been freelancing for 3 or 4 hundred years now and I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've been asked if I have certification of any kind. The fact that I have none has never prevented me from being in work.

  • Thanks for the prompt response.
I agree that certification is not mandatory but I can tell if we are certified then it will be a good addon to our profession.

There is exam 70-669 but that is specific to Windows Server 2008 though there is a newer one related to desktop virtualization (70-694) that has an App-V component.

I have yet to hear of any mainstream certification. Have you checked training companies in your territory who run App-V courses to see if they offer any certification?

  • Microsoft is providing App-V course but not a specific certification to it.
  • Please let me know if you know any other in your knowledge.
