Adobe Reader 6.02

It seems as thought the Clean.MST that everyone is talking about is version specific. Does anyone know of a Clean.MST for 6.02. I was looking at some of the entries that are available in the MST file with Wise Package Studio. Is there some way to find out what these entries actually are and what are acceptable values?

I am new to repackaging and have been asked to create a Zenworks application to Distribute Acrobat Reader 6.02. We currently have 5.0? on the machine.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Well I have managed to create a package that works for the most part for Acrobat 6.02. The problem that I seem to be having is that the original user that installs it does not get the opening splash screen but any other users that log in do. The original user has the key HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\6.0\Originals\bDisplayAboutDialog","0","REG_DWORD But any other user that logs in does not have this key.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried removing that reg key from the package?

Also, make sure you validate you package and fix any ice errors using Orca.

Hope this helps.. [:)]

Move all of the components into your Complete feature or go to the features page and ensure that all of the features will be installed on the local computer.

Now that I have the custom MSI and MST files I am trying to create a batch file to install the package on computers that are not attached to our network. I figured I could distribute it by cd but I am having difficulty with the Batch file to get it to run. I have put all of the files together and created the following batch file

start msiexec.exe /i "Adobe Reader 6.0.1.msi" TRANSFORMS="Adobe Reader 6.0.1.mst" /qb

It starts the install and part way through asks you to insert the Acrobat cd. How do I get around this pathing issue as not everyone has there CD in as d:?

Any assistance would be appreciated

You should read my article at: http://www.brainbuz.org/techinfo/DeployAcrobat6.pdf
Don't worry about Transforms for Acrobat, the default quiet install features have worked fine for me. If you are looking at "fixing" specific registry keys use the ZENWorks builder to capture them and change the target from Current User to All Users.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
