Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.14 for IE
I've been having problems with this patch from the beginning. Initally, I couldn't get it to download. Now that it is downloaded and in my patch schedule, It seems to always fail. I can successfully detect, but once I deploy, it waits for a reboot (never did understand that one) and when it comes back from reboot, it is listed under Failed with a deploy status of FAIL (80).
Am I missing something simple?
*EDIT*
After doing some cleanup (patch files, temp files, etc.) I have the patch installing and it even gives me the SUCCESS (102) message...but after reboot, the 102 remains. I do notice the following in event viewer:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: WSH
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 5/26/2011
Time: 11:29:52 AM
User: N/A
Computer: TAG2666
Description:
PLUS DEPLOYMENT: Error
File Name: install_flash_player_ax.exe

Hi Mnaylor,
Can you let me know what version of Adobe Flash you have on IE before the upgrade. What happen if you tried to execute the file install_flash_player_ax.exe, does it install the flash successfully?
I would like to see the kpatch.log where it show the deployment of the patch with debugging turned on.
Did you open a ticket with Kace Support on it? It may sound like a defect and may need to report to get it fixed. Any patch that tried 3 tries tells me is an issue, here is the FAQ on it: http://www.kace.com/support/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=6&id=870&artlang=en
