Adobe Design Premium Randomness
Hi All!
A little background. We have various types of machines with identical XP Images on them; Some have 512mb, some have 1GB and some have 2GB of ram..
We are running silent installs of Design Premium CS3 on all of these different boxes with differing levels of success. The command line is as follows:
"w:\setup.exe" --mode=Silent --deplotmentFile="w:\deployment\install.xml"
This works randomly across the machines, with some exceptions which give the Exit Code 7 which is something like Silent Process Failed or something equally has helpful!!
Initially I thought it was failing on machines that lacked the full 1GB - it seems however, to be going onto the 512mb machines with little complaint.. in some places.
Has anyone else experienced random failures like this and if so what have you done?

- Does it always fail on the failing machines?
- Does it install correctly when run as an admin user logged in to the machine?
- Have you set up MSI logging so you can see what part of the installation fails?
