Adobe Bridge 1.0

Hello

I'm currently struggeling with deploying Adobe bridge 1.0 via GPO (Comes along with with Adobe Photoshop 9.0 CS2)

Its a native MSI. that seems to run/work just fine, manually with -qb

Got Photoshop 9.0 CS2 and 3 other native MSI's that comes along with Photostop working just fine.

Any ideas as to how I can track the error cause, when I cant provoke it to happen manually? - Spoilers are welcome to :)

Use event Viewer to identify the component causing ur error and try and omdify the msi using ORCA.

Another thing you could do is turn on logging in one of the policies that belongs to that machine/user.

Thanks for your quick reply, sorry for my slow answer :)

I have not yet fund the source to it failing, but concluded, that if I install the extra programs in a certain order, it will install correctly.

http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=511 See entry by EDronen, for the install order.

none the less, if "Help Center" or "Stock Photos" have been installed prior to "Bridge", and then uninstalled again. and then installing the programs in the above mentioned order, Bridge fails again.

anyway. I can live with installing the apps in a certain order for it to work. dont want to waste more time on it.

hello,

I am working on packaging Photoshop CS2. I got that to package fine using a tuner.
The problem I am having is the other MSI that come with PS. (Bridge, Help System, Common Files, Stockphotos). Since my tuner makes the install silent, these apps are not getting installed. I saw the post by EDronen http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=511
but not sure how to make these install automatically as part of my adobe launch. Do I need to create a custom action or sequence? Installing these manually one by one is not an option.
Do I need to make an MST for each of the other MSIs, like Bridge? If I just install Adobe, will any functionallity be lost, or broken? How necessary are the other MSI components?
Thanks for your time.

Hi N615,

The /qn switch will allow the other parts of the install to install completely.
